Madonna with Gregory the Great and Saint Benedict (1511), Pintoricchio

In the 6th century A.D., Saint Benedict—the founder of Christian monasticism and the Benedictine order—inspired the spiritual and cultural unity of Western civilization by promoting the twin pillars of faith and reason. Today, the Portsmouth Institute for Faith and Culture continues Saint Benedict’s task of cultivating spiritual and intellectual growth by exploring the intellectual tradition of the Church and promoting the renewal of contemporary culture. Your generous donation makes that mission possible, and I want to personally thank you for your gift.

As always, please feel free to contact me directly with any questions or suggestions to make the Portsmouth Institute even more effective. My contact information is below. Thank you for your support and encouragement.

Best regards,

Christopher F. Fisher
Executive Director
